Stephanie Chavara has created theatre education programming in communities and in schools for Montana Shakespeare in the Parks, North Carolina Theatre, Lame Deer Reservation schools, and Students Motivated by the ARTS in Ohio. She has been a teaching artist for those organizations as well as for multiple theatres in Chicago, Connecticut, and Pittsburgh. She works with PBS Kids on a rolling basis to strengthen their community storytelling practices. In addition to being an actor and theatre-maker, she is committed to continual training in Inclusive and Trauma-Informed teaching practices, cultural and racial responsiveness in programming, and teaching across the spectrum. She has worked with schools on arts-integrated programming in multiple states. Stephanie graduated from NYU's Tisch School and has her MFA from DePaul University, as well as training in Eastern Europe in physical theatre and collaborative theatre-making.
