COVID-19 Response

Our response to the COVID-19 Health Crisis

Montana Shakespeare in the Parks puts its audience and artists' health and safety above all else. At the same time, MSIP is actively working to continue creating content for its audiences during the COVID-19 health crisis.

Summer 2020 plans

With the health and safety of our audience and artists at the forefront of our thinking, We have made the difficult decision to postpone 2020's summer tour of Cymbeline and A Midsummer Night's Dream to the summer of 2021. In its place, we have reached out to our touring communities to bring you Reverse Tour: Postcards from the Road.

Drama Club

Beginning January 18, MSIP will host its first ever virtual Drama Club aimed at students' ages 11-18 who are missing their school plays this year. The Drama Club is a two-week program and more information can be found HERE.

Reverse Tour: Postcards from the Road

Since we couldn't tour to 61 communities in five states this summer, we brought the communities to YOU.

The Reverse Tour was an episodic series of video postcards sent in by community members and actor alums. Each postcard will show and share something about that town while celebrating Shakespeare. Find the full series on our YouTube page.

Virtual Shakes

When the spring elementary outreach tour, Montana Shakes!, had to be cancelled on March 15, our staff and actors got together to imagine new ways to serve our student audiences at a safe distance.
