Claudia Boddy, resident designer for MSIP is thrilled to be part of an outstanding team producing Midsummer Night’s Dream. With over 45 years of professional costume design experience, her work has been seen as far off as London, England, as close to home as the MSIP productions for the past 20 seasons. She was fortunate to have designed costumes for a John Logan play (Hauptmann) in Chicago and New York and was able to work with August Wilson when she designed costumes for Joe Turner's Come and Gone at the Goodman Theater, Main Stage. She also worked with Andre De Shields designing costumes for Colored Museum at Victory Gardens, Chicago. She was costume designer for Marvin's Room for its premier in Chicago as well as at Hartford Stage, Playwright's Horizon and the Cherry Lane Theater in New York. Claudia was resident designer for Victory Gardens Theater and was costume designer for other numerous Chicago productions at Northlight Theater, Next Theater, Wisdom Bridge Theater, Piven Theater Workshop, Chicago Opera Theater, the National Jewish Theater and Court Theater. In Bozeman her work has been seen at The Ellen Theater, The Vigilante Players and Bozeman Actors Theater. Claudia taught in the Theater Department at Roosevelt University (Chicago) for many years and at Montana State University. At the University of Utah, where she received her BFA and MFA degrees Claudia directed French language productions as well as designing. In Bozeman, Claudia taught French and Drama at Chief Joseph Middle School for many years.
