Montana Shakespeare in the Parks (MSIP) holds auditions and seeks non-union actors for its two unique touring programs: Shakespeare in the Parks, and Shakespeare in the Schools (SIS). MSIP offers competitive salaries, housing, and per diem while on tour.
MSIP holds in-person auditions in select cities each year—most commonly in Chicago—with additional locations possible. Auditions typically take place in November and December. From this group of applicants, MSIP may select individuals to be considered again during the Shakespeare in the Schools auditions, held around April.

Actors with an interest and ability to be affective teaching artists as well as actors are perferred for our Shakespeare in the Schools tours.
Self-taped auditions will be considered, though live auditions are always preferable. If sharing a self tape, you must post your audition to YouTube and provide us with a link (please select “unlisted” as your sharing preference).
Live in Montana? Local auditions may also be sceduled by appointment.

Montana Shakespeare in the Parks employs 11 actors for a 17-week summer season that includes rehearsals and a multi-state tour across Montana, Wyoming, Idaho, North Dakota and Washington. Two plays rehearse for six weeks starting in mid-May and then tour the region for an eleven-week period ending in mid-September.
Shakespeare in the Schools employs 8 actors for a 13-week fall season that includes rehearsals and a multi-state tour in Montana and Wyoming. We are particularly looking for actor educators who have the experience, interest, and ability to be effective teachers as well as actors. The play rehearses for 3 weeks starting in mid-September and then tours the region for a 10 week period ending in mid-December.
