Since 1973, Shakespeare in the Parks has brought free, professional productions of Shakespeare and other classics to mostly rural and underserved communities. All performances are offered at no cost in local parks and public spaces, making them accessible to all.
Now in its 26th season, Shakespeare in the Schools (SIS) brings Shakespeare to middle and high school students in the way it was meant to be presented – in an engaging live performance. Accompanied by a lively post-show talk back and related and active workshops, SIS reaches 50 schools in three states each fall with professional programming.
The Black Box Series brings professional theatre to the Gallatin Valley each winter.
Montana Shakes! brings an interactive original play featuring scenes from Shakespeare to sixty elementary schools each spring. The play is accompanied by exciting theatrical workshops and introduces Shakespeare to young people in a way that is based on engagement and not apprehension.
