Bernardo (Hamlet) / Florizel (Winter's Tale)
Avery Micheal Johnson is an artist based in Richmond, Virginia where he earned a BFA in Theater Performance from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2023. This past winter Avery played Horatio in Richmond Shakespeare’s Hamlet before taking the role of Kit Marlowe in their East Coast Premier of Liz Duffy Adams' Born With Teeth. He then played Longaville in the same company's production of Love Labour's Lost. Selected stage credits include Jack in The Importance of Being Earnest (VCU Theatre), D’Artagnan in The Three Musketeers (Montana Shakespeare in the Parks), El Eterno Femenino (Firehouse Theatre), and Teak in the World Premier of Signature Theatre DC’s The Spoken Word. Off stage Avery plays video games and soccer, watches films and TV, and tinkers with computers.
