Education Director
Katherine holds a BFA in Acting from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and an MA in Theatre for Youth and an MS and PhD in Educational Psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Her research focuses on how people learn real things through make-believe. As an expert in playful learning, she gets to work with people in varied contexts such as theatres, children’s museums, toy companies, schools, colleges, and more. In addition to work with Montana Shakespeare in the Parks, Katherine is also the Education Director for Pendragon Theatre in the Adirondack Park, Director of Junior Theatre at Interlochen Center for the Arts, and a Research Scientist in Curriculum & Instruction at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. This is her fifth time working with the Montana Shakes tour, and it is one of her favorite things!
